Fully Automatic Time VS Hand Time
Throughout the season Middle School teams will probably attend meets with Fully Automatic Timing(FAT) or
Hand Times. It is imporant that you know which meets use what and make entries accordingly.
Hand Times on average are .24 faster than the more accurate FAT times.
Athletes whose times auto update on athletic.net should be entered correctly as athletic.net knows
what timing format the meets those entries came from used. If you notice that one of your meets that was Hand Timed but gets entered onto athletic.net as FAT please alert us so we can adjust accordingly.
If the times come from a FAT timed meet(a meet that uses a photo finish camera) then enter as is, for
example: 11.72a. If the time you entered is from a Hand Timed meet us the standard conversion of rounding to the nearest tenth
and adding .24
Example: 12.76 for the 100m Dash gets entered by you as 13.04
